My bags are packed and I'm ready to go.....

.....To Maryland! I'm flying out early tomorrow morning to spend Thanksgiving with my grandma and all of my mom's family in Maryland. I haven't seen most of that side of my family since Becky's wedding almost 5 years ago and I couldn't be more excited! My grandma lives about 45 minutes outside of Baltimore
and an hour outside of Washington DC. I'm super excited to see all of my family and eat as much yummy, fresh seafood as I can get! I'll be back on the 28th with tons of pictures to post, but til then I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!

RS Football - Go Death Train!

For the last 5 weeks I have been playing in my ward Relief Society football league. I have been having a blast! This is the fourth season that my ward has been doing it and I have to say, it is some serious business! We had enough girls sign up this year to create 4 teams: Red, Blue, Green & Black. (my team!) The teams each have 2 coaches from the elders quorom. The regular season was 3 games, allowing each team to play one another once. We had won 2 of our 3 games (losing to red) when we went into playoffs on Saturday. We played red for our first game and won, sending us into the championship match with green. Unfortunately though, it started snowing so they postponed the game til Monday night. So Monday came and we played a great game and were ahead, but the green team had one heck of an interception in the last 2 minutes of game time and won the game. So we took second place in the league, but we all had a ton of fun playing and met lots of new friends!

Oh, I know this is kind of random but I have to mention it. I eat an apple almost every day for my afternoon snack at work and I usually just get granny smith or red delicious because I can buy them for $.99/lb. Well on a recent visit to my local Whole Foods I discovered what is quite possibly the most delicious variety on the planet: a Honeycrisp apple. They were a lot more expensive at $2.49/lb but SO worth it. You have to try one!

Fun in Heatherland

Here are a few things that I've been up to:

Sunday dinner with Angela & Natalie. Did I mention on here that I painted one wall in my living room bright green? well here it is and I LOVE it!

Me & a few girlfriends at the Ingrid Michaelson concert. Amy, Jaime, Lauren & me

Out dancing with some friends downtown

I didn't get a picture of me at the concert, so here is Mat Kearney on stage. wow, i've been to a lot of concerts lately! so fun!

A few of my girlfriends at the Regina Spektor concert

Habanero peppers that I grew and made into hot sauce. They are so hot I had to wear gloves because I didn't want it to touch and burn my skin!

This was my first attempt at canning on my own. There was a ton of time and work that went into those little bottles but they look so pretty and the hot sauce is yummy and smokin hot!

Bachelorette party in Park City for my good friend Tess. Me, Tess, Heather & Clybe

Little Bo Peep

For Halloween this year I dressed up as Little Bo Peep and it was probably one of my favorite Halloween costumes ever. The dress I actually bought about 5 years ago when I was in high school and I'm so glad I finally found a use for it! The lamb I'm carrying was just a regular stuffed animal when I got at the DI and made it into a purse! I just cut the back open, sewed in a liner and attached handles to it. It was super fun, I love Halloween!
