New Feature

I love watching movies! I don't know why but I love getting caught up in a great movie and do so quite often. So I decided to share my passtime and opinions with you. From now on, check the sidebar of my blog for my latest movie ratings and reviews. I hope you get some good ideas and please let me know if you've seen any flicks lately that I should see. Enjoy!

Sex and the City

I am a HUGE fan of Sex and the City and last night the movie opened in theaters. It was so good!!!! It is such a girl movie and is now one of my favorites. I got to go with two of my girlfriends, Natalie and Shayla.

Friday Night Excitement

So I just got home from running and realized how truly pathetic my Friday night was. I got home from work at about 5pm and decided to take a quick nap before most of my friends got off work since I was sure there would be something going on. Well, no such luck. All of my friends had other plans, so I spent the entire evening in the exact same spot on the couch except for frequent trips to the fridge. :( I watched four entire hour long episodes of What not to Wear. If you haven't seen it, you should. I absolutely love it and am quite sure I've seen every episode. Well that's all for now, I just wanted to reflect on how truly exciting my life is.

Happy Mother's Day!

OK, so I know I'm three days late posting this, but I just got the photos off of my camera. For Mother's Day this weekend Becky, Jenny and I took my mom on Saturday and got pedicures, then we fixed her lunch back at Becky's house. It was a lot of fun! On Sunday everyone got together at my mom and dad's to honor a truly remarkable woman that is very dear to all of us. Thanks Mom for everything that you have done and continually do. I love you!!

These are the mini cheesecakes I made for dessert. I know I'm a nerd, but didn't they turn out pretty?!

Last week was also Jackson's (steve's son) 6th birthday. We had planned to grill burgers at the park, but it rained so we ended up having a picnic in the living room. Here's some pictures of our little party and his new birthday bike.

Trip to Denver

Two posts in two days? This must be a record!!
Anyway, this past weekend I got to go with my best friend Jocelyn to our dear friend Karen's house in Colorado. We had such a good time just hanging out, talking about old times and making new memories. Karen's sweet little boy Eli was so much fun to play with. He just turned one on Friday. Karen is expecting another baby in October and she just looks adorable. She is such a great mom!! We went to the Denver art museum, a random but totally fun Cinco de Mayo street festival, had a picnic in the park and saw the sights and beautiful old houses in Denver. I am so grateful for life long friends - what a blessing! Thanks Karen and Zack for letting us stay!!

Scrapbooking & family fun

So finally, here is an update. Life is pretty much the same-just working, playing and enjoying the ride. Two weeks ago myself, my mom, jenny and Becky had a girls only scrapbooking weekend. Mom rented a hotel for two days here in Salt Lake near the South Town Expo Center and we spent the whole time at a scrapbooking expo and back in the hotel getting a ton of pages done. It was such a blast and I love hanging out with my mom and sisters. THANKS MOM!!!!

We had a bit of an intense set up: two cricut machines, about 15 cartridges, a laptop with cricut design studio and all the scrapbooking supplies you could possibly imagine-so fun!!

As an early Mother's Day gift, we bought my mom a travel case for her cricut machine.

Matthew was in town from Portland for a couple of days so we got to see him for a bit and go to dinner.

Becky has this thing for collecting road signs. Yes-REAL road signs. So when we saw a sign that had fallen over we had to stop and get it. We didn't realize how big and heavy it was until we went to pick it up. it was 4 foot square and barely fit in the car. So funny!!

The Very next weekend my little nephew Jaidance was at my parents house. We haven't seen him since Christmas, so we were all very excited to get some time with him. This is Jaidance with his Herbie car

I LOVE otter pops. I know it's strange, but they are one of my favorite things. It looks like I'm teaching him well :)

Kissie Kissie-So sweet!

Jaidance playing trains with grandpa. He sure loves his grandpa!!

Jaidance and grandpa again. This time they're playing elefun.

Jaidance watching a movie and getting a back rub. How would that be?!

It was Becky's birthday that week, so we celebrated it a couple of days early while we were all together. And yes, I made the cake. (this is Russell, becky, Jenny & Jaidance)

The timing on this picture was just so perfect. It makes me laugh!

Sorry this was such a long post, I need to not wait so long to post next time. Thanks for reading and have a great day!!

More Fun!

Hey Everyone!
So last weekend was pretty eventful and I thought I'd share a little bit. (Get ready, I have a lot of pictures!) Sunday was my 21st birthday, so I fulfilled a wish/dream that I've had for quite sometime...skydiving!! I talked my amazing little sister Jenny into going with me and we had a BLAST! If you have ever thought about going, I highly encourage it. I'm already planning my second jump! I also went to a baby shower for my dear friend Leisa. She looks so beautiful and so ready to welcome her new baby boy. I was so excited to be invited to the shower and had a great time hanging out with some awesome friends. Sunday was actually my birthday and I was at my mom and dad's for a family birthday dinner, complete with roast, mashed potatoes and strawberry shortcake. MMMMmmmm..... Then my mom and dad gave me a power drill for my birthday! I know that sounds strange, but I've wanted one for a really long time. All in all, it was a great weekend!

Oh, and I also have a video of my skydiving adventure but it didn't seem to want to upload to my blog. I will try to get that going soon, so watch for it!

This is Chelsea, myself and Leisa at the baby shower
