I have been talking about the Twilight books in my "current read" field on the left side of my blog, but I don't know if anyone noticed. So I decided to dedicate an entire blog to the discussion... The last time I decided to go against my better judgement and go with the mainstream I was very disappointed. It was Harry Potter. I know, I know, I may be black balled for saying this, but I got through the third one and just couldn't finish the series. I do not like fantasy and I just couldn't wrap my mind around someone getting killed so many times yet still finding a way to come back to life. So when I saw everyone on earth reading Twilight, I decided to shy away from it. Both of my sisters were absolutely in love with it and couldn't stop talking about some hunk named Edward Cullen. So, much to my chagrin and after much pleading from them, I broke down. I took the first book of the series on my flight to Pennsylvania. I thought my suspicions had been confirmed when I hated almost the entire book. The character development was slow and the writing was mediocre. I was bored stiff and honestly would not have finished the book had I not been stuck on an airplane with nothing better to do. So I kept reading and by the time I got about 400 pages in, it got really exciting. So exciting that as soon as I got home I couldn't wait to borrow the second book from my sister, I went straight to Barnes & Noble and bought it. Now, a week later, I have finished the second book (new moon) and am half way through the third book (eclipse). I still don't think it's the most intelligent writing I've ever come across, but I am officially hooked to the story and its characters!!!! I love the books and I can't wait until the movie is out! So now I have two questions for everyone who is actually reading this:
1.) What are your thoughts on the series and
2.) Team Jacob or Team Edward?!

So many thoughts! But I'll limit them so I don't get carried away! I am almost done witht the 4th book (I know I'm a little bit slow but I just didn't have the time I wish I had) Anyway, I have always been an Edward fan... and always will be. Jacob bugs me. I love the series. I have been an adict for about a year now and I love it all. I know it is a little girly (westin hates it because of the girlyness) but I think it is just a fun easy read that isnt' your average Harlet In Rome story. SO there you go! You'll have to let me know what you think of the 4th book. I am really liking it.
Hi Heather, I don't know if you remember me from high school but I have been looking at your blog through whitney's and I had to comment about Twilight. I tried avoid reading them for the longest time then i to gave in. I LOVED the first three. I am halfway through the 4th one right now and it's alittle disappointing, but I hope that changes by the end. Before the 4th book I was Team Jacob now I'm not so sure.
1. I absolutely loved the first book, really liked the second, the thrid was okay, and I must admit that I'm quite dissapointed in the last, Breaking Dawn. There was so much build up for this book and it really dissapointed (well me anyway)
2. Definitely Team Edward. Which are you?
Team Edward all the way!! Jake is super sweet and his love is so inocent and sincere, but he just doesn't do it for me like Eward does! Such a hottie! (it's kind of sad that i'm saying that about a completely ficticious character)
Okay I loved Harry Potter. And I thought I would hate Twilight but today I thought I would give it a shot. I read the first chapter and put it down. I didn't like it at all. But that's okay because I still love you!
team jacob. no one can believe me for saying that, but i just have a hard time forgiving edward for leaving bella in new moon. but i still love him.
