So my laptop has recently decided to throw a huge temper tantrum and stop working. I'm not sure what it's problem is, but as soon as I get it fixed I will be posting some pictures. In the mean time, this has been circling around facebook like wildfire. The idea is just to make a list of 25 random facts about yourself. It was really hard thinking about that many things! So until I can post pictures, here are 25 things I'm sure you were dying to know about me! :
25 things:
1. I am the 7th of 8 children, there are 4 girls and 4 boys. I have the greatest family ever.
2. I am addicted to otter pops. I eat about 5 or 6 a day.
3. I like eating very healthily. I go organic whenever possible and I like buying all-natural foods. It just makes me feel better about myself. Except for otter pops of course, I’m pretty sure they are just sugar, water & food coloring.
4. I LOVE to cook and bake.
5. One reason I like cooking is that I like knowing exactly what’s going in my food. I can control the quality of ingredients and know that there aren’t any crazy unnatural fillers or preservatives.
6. I am blind in my left eye and have been since birth.
7. I am allergic to latex and eye drops. Actually, it’s the preservatives in the eye drops that I’m allergic to.
8. I have a #6 lower lumbar vertebra and it is partially fused with my #5 vertebra. (you’re only supposed to have 5) This causes all kind of crazy problems in my back from bulged disks and pinched nerves to chronic pain. So fun.
9. I love to dance. I started taking dance lessons when I was 3 years old. I’ve studied jazz, tap, ballet, gymnastics, ballroom & latin dance. Right now I am in an adult ballet class and I thoroughly enjoy every second of it.
10. I love music. Whether it’s listening or playing music, I just can’t get enough of it. I’ve played the piano since I was 6 years old, I played percussion and the flute in high school and I’ve been a member of several choirs.
11. I love soccer. I played for 8 years growing up and I also refereed in high school. That was interesting.
12. I love to type. I think there is something very relaxing and rhythmic about it.
13. Aside from band/music classes, my favorite subjects in school were always English and history.
14. I am a die-hard Sex and the City fan. I know it’s a bit scandalous and kind of silly, but it just makes me happy.
15. I love being silly. You probably won’t ever see my silly side unless I feel very comfortable around you. Unfortunately my family sees my silly side way too often. I’m pretty sure they all think I’m crazy.
16. I’m addicted to post-it notes. I am a list maker and post-it notes hold my entire life together.
17. I have a big brother with special needs. In high school I worked as an advisor for adults with physical and mental disabilities. I loved it and I think that those people with disabilities are the sweetest spirits on earth.
18. I hate voice mails. Every time I leave a message it just sounds stupid and most of the time when I listen to other people’s messages they are awkward and I feel bad for them.
19. I have a crazy clothing and shoe addiction. What can I say, I’m a girl
20. I like working out. It always makes me feel better about myself, even if I can’t see a noticeable difference in my appearance. I’ve just committed myself to doing 3-4 cardio sessions a week and doing pilates or strength training every day. So far so good.
21. I started snowboarding in 8th grade but haven’t had the opportunity to go more than 2 or 3 times a season since then. This season I have probably gone more than the last 6 years combined and I’m getting a heck of a lot better.
22. I love people. They just make me happy. I love meeting new people and learning about their ideas and circumstances. I just find people intriguing.
23. I have been incredibly blessed with fantastic friends throughout my life.
24. One of my favorite things to do on an evening alone is to curl up with a good book, some relaxing music and a snack. Either at home or my local Barnes & Noble.
25. I love being outside. I grew up hiking, camping, canoeing & just playing outdoors. I love being in nature and find it calming and centering.
