on the bandwagon

I have only gone through 2 cell phones in the past 6 years. These two archaic pieces of technology have served me well.

My little purple Motorola I've had for about 3 years now and I can't even tell you how many times I've dropped it or gotten it wet. It just kept plugging along. Both phones, along with my Verizon network, did everything I needed them to do. They made totally reliable phone calls and unlimited texting/picture messaging. And maybe even the occasional photo-taking. Well, my beloved purple phone was on the fritz and my birthday was coming up, so Jake convinced me to switch to T-Mobile so he could buy me this bad boy:

This new-fangled piece of equipment is off-the-hook. Lightning fast with millions of free "apps" to play with. I've had it for over 2 weeks now and still don't really know how to use the thing. I've had several friends ooh and aah over it, saying that it's faster and better than the newest Iphone because of its Android operating system. Clearly, I really don't know anything about that stuff. I just hope that this lasts me as long as my last few trusty phones did. Don't worry, I went ahead and got the $5.99/month insurance plan that protects against any damage, including the operator-error variety.

Those people don't know what they are talking about. And I hate T-mobile- too bad AT&T is buying them up.
