Yes friends, this is my life...,

So I had a truly hilarious and mortifying experience today at work that I felt like I just needed to share. It was a pretty typical busy Saturday afternoon at Williams Sonoma. A customer walked in and asked for some help with purchasing a cookie sheet, so I walked over to the bakeware area to answer his questions. He was a sixty something, grey haired, average-looking man. I proceeded to discuss the best pan for his baking needs when he remarked on how fun it would be to work at WS. I told him that it's just a part-time side job that I have for fun and I have a normal, full-time job. He then said: "wow, you work two jobs, you're beautiful and it sounds like you're a great cook. Why hasn't someone snatched you up and married you yet?!" I responded by just laughing at off thinking in my ming: "oh, crazy old man, you have no idea." Well he took it one step further and suggested that I should marry him. Saying, "I bet you don't get a marriage proposal every day at work!." Somehow I just laughed it off, hoping to get him rung up and out of my store asap. So I walked him up to the cash registers and completed the transaction for his purchases. Well as he paid for his purchases and I handed him his bag to leave he said,"So seriously, can I get your number?" AAAAAHHHH! I was so caught off guard, I awkwardly fumbled out the words,"umm, I have a boyfriend" and he awkwardly walked out of the store. I was feeling such intense humor and humiliation that I had to go in the back office and let my bright red face come back down to a normal color. Oh, good times at Sonoma everyone.....

WOW! I know that you are gorgeous and all and probably get hit on a lot, but getting hit on by the old timers now! ha ha!!! Hilarious story!!! :) Poor girl! I always got hit on by the younger guys, but older ones are probably much more awkward. I can't believe he had the nerve to ask for your phone number?! Seriously?!? What was he thinking? I have pulled the "I have a boyfriend" line a few times myself even when I didn't have one.

I love your posts! Miss you girl!
