The Story of the Big Blue Beast!

Last night, Jake and I had a lovely dinner and game night with my dear friend Amy and her hubby Cody. During all of the good food and laughter, she scolded me for my lack of consistent updates on my blog. So in her honor, I'm making this post. Yes, it is stolen from my big sister Becky's facebook, but can I at least have some credit for copying it onto here?

This is the story of the Big Blue Beast. This beautiful baby blue station wagon has been our sturdy family car since the 70's. It's seen many years of wear and tear including, a wheel careening off going 55 mph and even a college student (Becky) who found the bumper in a gutter after it went mysteriously missing.

One day, a boy came to our front door and asked if he could have our lovely beast. With a little regret but mostly joy, our Blue Beast road off into the distance to a new and exciting future.

With a few renovations and a lot of love and paint, she was ready to go. No longer baby blue, she was now the Big Black beast. Number 31.

At the signal of the count down, she was off. With a KAPOW!, she rams into an unsuspecting vehicle initiating herself into the derby hall of fame (at least the hall of fame in our eyes).

She even got into a little traffic jam.

Little did we know that the Black Beast had incurred the wrath of an Archenemy, the Panda, number 106.

The Panda seemed to have it out for our burly family car turned derby star.

But, it seemed as if she was going to escape the poisoned influences of the Panda King.

Until.....CRASH!!!!! Sneak attack by the Pandamobile! Metal crunched, dirt sprayed and a piece of the blue soul died on the field.

The boy tries to get her going again until he realizes the problem. The Black Beast has lost her wheel. It seems as if this is not the first time.

She sits on the field feeling lonely and scared. What will happen next? Will she ever make it into another heat? Only time will tell.

Defeat knocks at the door of the Big Black Beast, a tow truck taking her away to the repair ward.

Things don't look so good in the repair ward. She still has what remains of her insides

But, her body is torn to shreds.

We get a close up at the infamous back right tire. If only. If only it had not come off, would she have made it past the first 5 minutes of the bloody battle? Maybe, maybe not.

Even though she is no longer with us I will miss her terribly.

Jenny looks like she misses her, but she is really thinking, "I'm sure glad you're not still sitting in my drive way, wasp nest. Buuwahhaaahhaaa!!!!!

Upon closer inspection, we see that our Beast truly is true blue through and through, nothing can change what lies in her soul.

R.I.P. Big Blue Beast. We love you!!!!!!!!
